Connected learning modules

Understand. Design. Implement.

Start with people.
Build with purpose.

Useful digital experiences begin with understanding people. They develop through clear content, thoughtful design, testing and careful implementation.

Work through the complete process: research a problem, map the user journey, design an interface and bring it to the browser. Your portfolio will show how you make decisions and how those decisions become a working experience.

The learning journey

From a user problem
to a working product.

Six modules connect research, visual design, prototyping and frontend development, with practical deliverables throughout.

Design it. Test it. Build it.Develop your ideas through module reviews, usability feedback and a final product case study.
01Weeks 1–4 · 12 sessionsProduct strategy, UX research & content

Understand the problem, the people and the content before you design the interface.

  • Problem discovery, research interviews and personas
  • Information architecture, user flows and wireframes
  • UX writing, onboarding, microcopy and accessibility copy
  • Usability heuristics, research synthesis and UX validation
You’ll create: UX research presentation + user flows + product copy document
02Weeks 5–8 · 12 sessionsVisual design & brand foundations

Build a consistent visual language and prepare assets for digital experiences.

  • Typography, spacing, composition and visual hierarchy
  • Photoshop editing and AI-assisted visual asset creation
  • Illustrator, vector precision and custom icon systems
  • Brand palettes, device mockups and web asset optimisation
You’ll create: Brand identity kit + custom SVG icons + visual asset library
03Weeks 9–14 · 18 sessionsUI design, Figma & design systems

Create responsive interfaces with reusable components, then test how people use them.

  • Figma Auto Layout, components, properties and variables
  • Responsive desktop and mobile interface patterns
  • Interactive prototypes, micro-interactions and usability testing
  • Design system documentation and developer handoff
You’ll create: SaaS design system + interactive desktop and mobile prototype
04Weeks 15–18 · 12 sessionsWeb foundations & responsive styling

Translate your Figma designs into responsive, accessible web pages.

  • Semantic HTML, CSS foundations, Flexbox and Grid
  • Mobile-first layouts and Tailwind CSS
  • Design tokens, CSS animation and AI-assisted component scaffolding
  • Keyboard accessibility, Git and GitHub collaboration
You’ll create: Responsive landing page coded from your Figma design
05Weeks 19–22 · 12 sessionsFrontend development with React & Next.js

Build reusable components and connect them into an interactive web experience.

  • JavaScript essentials, JSX, components and props
  • React state, forms and dynamic data rendering
  • Next.js routing, layouts and component libraries
  • AI-assisted debugging, performance optimisation and deployment
You’ll create: Deployed Next.js web application with interactive components
06Weeks 23–24 · 6 sessionsCapstone & portfolio case study

Connect your research, design and implementation in one complete product project.

  • Define a product problem, feature scope and UX brief
  • Finalise user flows, product content and a Figma design system
  • Implement your interface using Next.js and Tailwind CSS
  • Review performance and accessibility; present your portfolio case study
You’ll create: Product case study + Figma prototype + deployed web application

Show the process behind the product

Build a portfolio that explains your thinking.

Show how you understand a problem, explore solutions and turn your design decisions into a usable digital experience.

01

Research that guides the design

Develop a UX research presentation, user flows and interface copy. Establish the brand assets and icon system that support your product.

Research + visual foundations
02

An interface you can explore

Build a reusable Figma design system and an interactive desktop and mobile prototype. Test your flows and refine the experience.

UI design + prototyping
03

A product you can demonstrate

Code a responsive landing page and build a deployed Next.js application. Connect your research, prototype and implementation in a capstone case study.

Frontend + portfolio

Find your starting point

For curious minds
who want to create.

Explore the connection between design and technology. Build a foundation that helps you understand both the interface and how it works.

  • Students and freshers interested in UI/UX and digital products.
  • Graphic designers moving into interface design.

A little more clarity

Before you begin.

Answers to common questions about the course and your learning journey.

Do I need design or coding experience?
The course starts with UX and visual foundations, then introduces HTML, CSS and JavaScript before React and Next.js. Regular practice outside class will help as the topics become more advanced. Speak with the academy about your starting point.
Does this course include coding?
Yes. Alongside UX research, UI design and Figma, you’ll learn HTML, CSS, JavaScript essentials, Tailwind CSS, React and Next.js.
Is this a full-stack development course?
The main focus is experience design and frontend implementation. Backend engineering and database development are not the core focus of this curriculum.
Will I create a prototype or a working product?
Both. You’ll build an interactive Figma prototype and implement a working web experience. The capstone connects research, design and a deployed Next.js application.
How will AI tools support my learning?
You’ll explore AI-assisted research synthesis, visual asset creation, layout exploration, code scaffolding and debugging. You’ll practise reviewing and refining outputs against user needs and your design decisions.
What will my portfolio include?
Your work will include UX research and user flows, brand assets, a Figma design system, an interactive prototype, a responsive coded landing page and a deployed application with a case study.
